Gordon Smith

My Personal Statement on Mental Health for the Gifted

You’re intense, complex, and searching. Multitalented, creative, highly sensitive. Asynchronous, twice(+) exceptional, overexcitable. Neurodivergent. Existential in your sensibilities. You’re an outlier, and I am someone who understands that conventional norms were normed by the normal. I bring my own H+ giftedness to connect with gifted people and aid you in becoming more fully yourself. You will always be the expert on your own life, and when we work together I will bring over twenty-five years of counseling experience to a collaborative process of discovery, creativity, and growth. You will find me in the process of decolonizing my practice and my mind, and I intend to meet you as an experienced and caring helper, not an ‘authority’. No matter your situation, you’re invited to reach out for a free consultation, so you can get a feel for me, ask the questions you have, and let me something of what you’re seeking. Then we can do our discernment from there. Regardless – thanks for being who you are. – Gordon
