Dr. Joy Lawson Davis is a career educator with a distinguished record of scholarship in the field of Gifted and Advanced Learner programming. Her expertise includes diversity, access, and equity in programming for students from underrepresented populations and culturally diverse students with multiple exceptionalities. She is an experienced speaker, professional learning trainer, and consultant to school districts and organizations across the United States and internationally, and an adjunct professor teaching graduate coursework in cultural diversity and gifted education. Dr. Davis is an award-winning author of six books and has served on boards and editorial committees advocating for increased equity in gifted education; she has received multiple honors including lifetime achievement and special populations awards.
