Carol Raymond

Carol M. Raymond, M.Ed. currently teaches sixth grade and leads SENG parent groups in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She has served as a gifted and talented specialist, classroom teacher, elementary music specialist, and private music instructor/performer. Mrs. Raymond enjoys advocating for gifted individuals through professional development, presentations, and parent seminars. Her gifted and twice-exceptional step-daughters have influenced her passion for gifted education.

SMPG: My Gifted Education

This study evaluated SENG Model Parent Groups and found parents increased understanding of gifted characteristics, social and emotional needs, peer and family relationships, and advocacy. Participants reported greater confidence supporting their gifted children, improved strategies for discipline and stress management, and valued peer support and school partnerships.
