With summer finally upon us, families are preparing for vacations and much needed time away from their typical daily duties. This is also the season when gifted and talented children and young adults have some free time from their educational obligations. I encourage parents to create opportunities for their children geared toward personal interests. It is imperative that after working hard all year these children experience some fun! Additionally, I encourage young college students to do the same! Gifted and talented individuals need respite from their increasingly busy lives and summertime is one of the best times to do so.
